Haiku with Associated Photographs

Karen is grateful and excited to pair her fine art photography with haiku poetry distilling the noise around us into simplicity, brevity, and truth.

Karen is a lifelong visual artist, writer, and poet finding inspiration by intentionally looking, listening, and connecting. She feels humbled and deeply inspired by the beauty and power of nature including human nature, in all its cycles. In our chaotic world of humanity in all its variations, Karen is drawn to authenticity, kindness, and love, and speaks up against injustice, hatred and violence that so sadly and broadly exists.

In a special exhibit associated with In Life, a film made possible by the Law Stroud Foundation, Karen exhibited a series of seven beautifully presented haikus with their associated photographs at the Decouvert Fine Art gallery in Rockport, MA (Aug 30 - Sept 15, 2024). These unique museum quality pieces may be available by contacting us.

Each image is printed using pigment dye inks on museum quality Epson Cold Press Bright paper.  The image size is 12 ¼ by 18 ¼ inches.

The frames are 19 by 28 inches custom built by Peter Holton.  They are North American Cherry and finished with Danish furniture oil.  The 8-ply matting is museum quality along with the backing.  The glass is Tru Vue UV protective and anti-reflective.
