Wall Cabinet for Spices, Collectables, or Anything

Our friend John moved away and gave us a very old hand built pine door. It was broken and showed all the markings of its long life. Peter took the door apart and reclaimed portions to make a pair of cabinet doors. The rest of the cabinet followed from the proportions offered by the small doors.

Karen brought the doors to her studio where she decoupaged hand-made papers on the panels.

Peter fashioned a collection of small frames and some shelves that fit inside. They are not attached and can be configured to any arrangement. The frames are dimensioned to hold clusters of Penzey’s spice jars.

Below are photos of a second cabinet currently in process. This door is from the local transfer station swap shop.
